This applied training session on modeling techniques focuses on statistical tools used to understand the relationship between variables and to build prediction models.

The mechanism of the regression techniques is reviewed in a non-mathematical way with the help of case studies. Time is devoted to the interpretation of software output from several software packages, to the potential problems in regression analysis such as influential observations, multicollinearity, etc, on graphical diagnostic tools and finally on ways to fix these problems.
